Today’s Cruises – October 2, 2013

There are seven cruises departing today, Wednesday October 2, 2013, with ships leaving from…

Long Beach: Carnival Miracle leaves on a 4-night “Baja California” cruise with stops at Santa Catalina and Ensenada;
New York: Holland America’s ms Eurodam is making a 10-day, one-way trip from New York to Quebec City, visiting Boston, Bar Harbor, Halifiax and several other picturesque Canadian towns;
Los Angeles: ms Oosterdam is headed to Sydney and then Auckland. A 24-night cruise hits Hawaii, Fiji and New Caledonia on the way to Sydney. The 38-night option continues on a two-week tour of Australia and New Zealand, ending in Auckland;
Barcelona: Norwegian Spirit is making a 12-night Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Venice, making calls to France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Looking ahead six months, there are six cruise ships scheduled to depart on April 2, 2014, including Dawn Princess for a 11-day cruise from Auckland to Sydney.

Today’s Cruises – September 27, 2013

We’ve got a lucky 13 ships departing today, including…

Norwegian Jewel is on the move from Los Angeles to New Orleans. After completing a 16-day trip along the west coast of Mexico and through the Panama Canal, Jewel will begin weekly 7-night western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans until mid-April 2014. Next October the ship will switch things up a bit and make similar 7-day Caribbean cruises from Houston;
Grand Princess is starting a 7-night trip along the Pacific coast, round-trip from San Francisco;
Enchantment of the Seas reminds us of “Back To the Future” – Royal Caribbean’s ship will be making 3- and 4-night cruises to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral for the foreseeable future.

Looking ahead: There are 17 cruises to choose from departing four months from now, January 27, 2014. And another 22 scheduled for six months out, Friday June 27, 2014.

Today’s Cruises – September 25, 2013

Not many cruises scheduled for today, but today’s departures include:

Island Princess is the latest ship to move from the Pacific Northwest to the Caribbean, departing from San Francisco today on a 15-night trip through the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale. Island Princess will spend the autumn, winter and early spring bouncing back-and-forth between Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles, with a few 10-12 day Caribbean cruises mixed in;
a month from now Norwegian Epic will be on its way from Barcelona to Miami, but today it’s departing from Civitavecchia on one of the many 7-day Mediterranean cruises offered by Norwegian Cruise Line.

Looking ahead: Six months from now there are five cruises scheduled for departure on March 25, 2014, including a 5-day voyage from Charleston, South Carolina to the Bahamas on Carnival Fantasy. Nine months from now, June 25, 2014, you could be leaving on a 12-night “Imperial Jewels of China” river cruise on Viking’s Century Emerald.

Today’s Cruises – September 23, 2013

There are 14 cruise ships departing from ports all over the world today, including a couple leaving Los Angeles on extended voyages…

Three days ago we told you about ms Amsterdam leaving Vancouver and today it’s leaving Los Angeles on cruises across and around the Pacific Ocean in your choice of 21-night (ending in Kobe, Japan), 29-night (to Hong Kong), 35-night (to Singapore) or 72-night varieties (coming all the way back to LA via a bunch of South Pacific islands);
Norwegian Sun continues its repositioning cruise to Miami, which started a week ago in Vancouver;
Big and popular Celebrity Solstice departs from Ensenada, Mexico on an 11-day trip to Honolulu, which includes several days of circling the Hawaiian islands.

Looking six months and one year ahead: There are 37 cruises scheduled for Sunday March 23, 2014 including 28 different week-long voyages with destinations as varied as the Mexican Riviera and the Danube River. Even further out, there will be at least 14 cruises leaving on Tuesday September 23, 2014.

Today’s Cruises – September 20, 2013

We hope you’re one of the lucky thousands who are starting a cruise today. If not, feel free to consider today’s 14 cruises inspiration for your next cruise vacation. Today’s departures include:

ms Amsterdam beginning an extended cruise in Vancouver that will visit just about every island in the Pacific Ocean before ending in Los Angeles 75 days from now. (It’s also offered as a 32-night cruise that ends in Hong Kong.) Lucky cruisers will be visiting Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Singapore, Brunei, Fiji and Tahiti – and that’s just a partial list;
Viking River Cruises likes to have two ships start at opposite ends of an itinerary on the same day: Today’s pairing has Viking Atla departing from Amsterdam on a 7-night Rhine Getaway to Basel, Switzerland, while Viking Jarl starts in Basel heading toward Amsterdam;
as it does several times a month, Carnival Inspiration is starting a 3-night weekend trip from the port in Long Beach to Ensenada, Mexico and back.

Looking six months and one year ahead: We currently know about 14 cruises scheduled for Thursday March 20, 2014 and 53 ships set for departure on Saturday September 20, 2014.
